September is often considered one of the most magical months for weddings, with its golden sunsets, warm but not overwhelming temperatures, and a sense of ease that perfectly complements the romance of the season. Carla and Nik, an English couple with a love for both nature and elegance, chose the stunning La Pescaia Resort in Tuscany as the backdrop for their dream wedding in September 2023.
The Perfect Location: La Pescaia Resort
Nestled in the heart of Tuscany, La Pescaia Resort is a luxurious yet serene venue, ideal for couples looking for a blend of rustic charm and sophistication. Surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves, and pristine landscapes, the resort offers a truly intimate and private experience for those seeking a wedding away from the hustle and bustle. Carla and Nik were immediately drawn to the resort’s elegance and the relaxed atmosphere it offered for their closest family and friends.
Their wedding was set to be a celebration not only of love but also of family, as they were joined by their two wonderful children, making it a deeply personal and meaningful occasion.
A Personal Touch: Carla’s Expertise
Carla, a professional make-up artist with a keen eye for detail, took the reins when it came to the preparation of the wedding day. Alongside her close friends, she ensured every aspect of the celebration was carefully curated, from the hair and makeup to the overall aesthetic and vibe of the day. It’s clear that her creative flair was infused in every detail, from the delicate floral arrangements to the elegance of the ceremony itself.
The Ceremony: A Garden of Dreams
The ceremony took place in the iconic and intimate olive garden at La Pescaia Resort, an ideal setting for a small, personal wedding. The olive trees, some centuries old, provided a naturally beautiful and tranquil atmosphere for Carla and Nik to exchange their vows. The space was decorated with soft, airy arrangements of baby’s breath — the light and fresh blooms created a sense of purity and simplicity, perfectly matching the couple's elegant yet relaxed style. The atmosphere was serene, peaceful, and full of love, making it a moment that everyone present will remember forever.
Cocktail Hour by the Pool
After the emotional ceremony, guests were invited to unwind with an aperitif by the resort’s stunning pool. The alfresco setting provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and fun social hour. The drinks were paired with a delicious array of finger food—bite-sized delicacies that were as scrumptious as they were beautiful. With guests mingling, laughter filling the air, and the shimmering pool reflecting the Tuscan sunset, it was a truly picturesque moment that allowed everyone to enjoy the day’s beauty and charm.
The Reception: A Magical Long Table Dinner
As the evening progressed, guests were led to the reception, where they were greeted by the sight of a spectacular long imperial table under a tunnel of fairy lights. The soft glow from the lights added an enchanting touch to the already stunning outdoor venue. A green runner, adorned with white flowers, stretched down the length of the table, creating a sense of unity and natural beauty. The white blooms reflected the delicate nature of the earlier ceremony, while the greenery brought the spirit of the Tuscan countryside right to the heart of the celebration.
Dinner was an unforgettable experience, with each dish expertly prepared to reflect the beauty and flavors of the region. The intimate nature of the long table allowed for conversation and laughter to flow freely, and the breathtaking atmosphere only enhanced the joy of the evening.Â
A Thoughtful Touch: Limoncello Favors
As a thoughtful and uniquely Italian touch, each guest was gifted a bottle of limoncello as a favor, a sweet and zesty reminder of the couple’s wedding in Tuscany. This gesture not only tied in with the Italian location but also offered guests a little taste of Italy to enjoy long after the event. "Let's eat!" was the joyful sentiment that echoed throughout the evening, as the delicious food and drink continued to flow, making for a night full of laughter, dancing, and unforgettable memories.
A Wedding to Remember
Carla and Nik’s wedding at La Pescaia Resort was a perfect blend of elegance, intimacy, and family. With every detail thoughtfully executed, from the ceremony in the olive garden to the enchanting reception under the fairy lights, it was a celebration of their love and the start of their new life together. The picturesque setting, the delicious food, and the close-knit group of family and friends created an atmosphere that was as warm and welcoming as it was beautiful.
This wedding is a true testament to how a well-planned and heartfelt celebration can create memories that last a lifetime.
