There is a specific magic to La Pescaia Resort in September. The Tuscan heat softens into a golden glow, and for Ellodie and Casper—who traveled from the Netherlands to tie the knot—it provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding that was as sophisticated as it was vibrant.
As their wedding planner, my goal was to marry the raw beauty of the Maremma countryside with the couple's chic, modern aesthetic.
The Style: Sophisticated Minimalism
Ellodie was the vision of a modern bride. She wore a sleek, smooth slip dress that exuded effortless elegance. To elevate the look, she chose a regal parure of pearls and a stunning lace veil. The "wow" factor? A pair of bold blue heels peeking out from beneath her hem.
We arranged a private First Look in the resort’s intimate chapel. When Casper saw her, the moment was purely cinematic—he was quite literally left breathless by her beauty.
An Intimate Circle Under the Great Tree
For the ceremony, we moved to the main garden, using the shade of the Great Tree as our natural cathedral. Rather than a standard seating plan, we arranged classic Toscana chairs in an amphitheater layout. This circular positioning created a sense of community, enveloping the couple in the love of their guests.
At the center, a vibrant semi-arch of colorful flowers sat directly on the ground, "hugging" Ellodie and Casper as they exchanged their vows. The pop of the wildflowers against the soft wood of the Toscana chairs was quintessential Tuscany.
The Imperial Table: Blue, Yellow, and Harvest Tones
After a chic aperitivo by the pool, guests were invited to a grand imperial table that looked like a Mediterranean feast for the senses. The design focused on a bold contrast of Blue and Yellow:
The Tablescape: Plates adorned with blue floral patterns.
The Centerpiece: A wild, organic mix of field flowers, accented by clusters of grapes and fresh fruit in shades of yellow.
A Sparkling Finale
As night fell, the "cielo stellato" (the canopy of fairy lights) above the table began to glow. For the cake cutting, the atmosphere turned electric as every guest lit a sparkler. The shimmering sparks combined with the overhead strings of light created a magical, glowing canopy that toasted to Ellodie and Casper’s new beginning.
